Tyler Deresky had two goals and two assists to lead the Amarillo Bulls to a 9-3 victory over the Corpus Christi IceRays. Deresky found the back of the net 19:33 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Amarillo and again while on the power play 12:18 into the second to make the score 9-1 Amarillo.Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 11:13 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with four game misconducts. Amarillo excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Bulls' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Amarillo averages 4.7 goals per contest. By firing 43 shots on goal, the Bulls exceeded the 31.5 shots they average per game this year. Amarillo additionally got points from Brady Ferguson, who also registered one goal and one assist, Ryan Cole, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Mike Davis, who also finished with two goals and one assist, and Matt Sieckhaus, who also had one goal and two assists. Amarillo also got a goal from Gage Christianson as well. The IceRays were led by Joe Ginley, who finished with one goal. Ginley scored 18:38 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Amarillo. Michael Economos provided the assist. AJ Jarosz also scored for Corpus Christi. In addition, Corpus Christi received assists from Trevor Heuser, Emil Romig, and Roman Uchyn, who each chipped in one. The Bulls took out Collin Delia after he had made six saves and installed Paul Berrafato in goal, where he finished with 12 saves and the win. Amarillo ended with 55 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For the Bulls, Rey and James LaDouce were ejected from the contest. Ben Myers took the loss and made 32 saves before being replaced by Dillon Kelley who made two saves. For Corpus Christi, Ryan Chiasson was ejected from the game.
