In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Minot Minotauros escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Aberdeen Wings. Minot gained the winning advantage on a goal by Tim Donohue 12:36 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. The Minotauros got the win with help from a great game by Donohue, who had two goals and one assist. Minot's penalty kill excelled, as the Minotauros gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. With 28 shots on target during the contest, Minot exceeded the 24.4 shots it averages per game this year. The Minotauros could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game. Minot additionally got points from Jake OBorsky, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Minot also got a goal from Travis Maxwell as well. More assists for Minot came via Lucas Oliver, who had two and Cameron Rowat, David Dalbec, and Collin Abitz, who contributed one a piece. Aberdeen's offense was clicking better than usual and put 30 shots on goal during the game, better than the 18.6 shots per game it averages. The Wings were helped by Erik Baskin, who registered one goal. Baskin scored 11:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aberdeen. Kyle Haak assisted on the tally. Aberdeen also got points from Haak, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
