The Wichita Falls Wildcats had trouble finding ways to stop the Texas Tornado, which beat Wildcats, 7-3. Texas got the win on the strength of a great game by Brandon Hawkins, who had two goals and one assist. Hawkins scored the first of his two goals at 16:47 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Texas. Nick Blas assisted on the tally.
