Miller leads Port Huron over Michigan, 5-0

Ian Miller was all over the ice for the Port Huron Fighting Falcons, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Port Huron's 5-0 win over the Michigan Warriors.

Miller scored at 19:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Huron and again while on the power play 1:13 into the second to make the score 2-0 Port Huron.

The Fighting Falcons were boosted by Max Milosek, who turned in a shutout with 38 saves. The solid play of Milosek will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.05.

Port Huron featured an improved defense during the game. The Fighting Falcons allow 2.4 goals per game.

Daniel Rehnstrom also scored for Port Huron. More assists for Port Huron came via Rick DeRosa, who had two and Bobby Brown, Ryan Nick, Bryan Yim, and Nick Horne, who each chipped in one.

Port Huron was unable to stop Michigan from sending pucks towards the net, and the Warriors eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Michigan was led by Darren McCormick, who took eight shots.

The Fighting Falcons incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Michael Pesendorfer took the loss and made 17 saves before being replaced by Trevor Gorsuch who made four saves. The Warriors incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
