Jeff McFarland was all over the ice for the Jamestown Ironmen, as he tallied two goals in Jamestown's 6-2 win over the Kenai River Brown Bears. McFarland scored at 3:03 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Jamestown and again while 14:46 into the second to make the score 3-1 Jamestown.The Ironmen found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Jamestown has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of the Ironmen were also effective in Kenai River's zone, and came away with two goals. Jamestown also got points from Brett Szajner, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Ross Pavek, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Luc Gerdes, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jamestown also got a goal from Mitch Hall as well. Other players who recorded assists for Jamestown were Joe Mottiqua, who had two and Ryan Urso, Victor Johansson, Daniel Cesarz, and Evan Ritt, who contributed one a piece. The Brown Bears were below their usual level of shot production, taking 21 shots compared to the 31.8 Kenai River averages. The Brown Bears found themselves short handed often, totaling 26 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays. Kenai River was led by Albin Karlsson, who had one goal. Karlsson scored short handed 9:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Jamestown. A tripping call on Vincent Stefan put the Brown Bears on the penalty kill. Jude Warner assisted on the tally. Chris Nuth also scored for Kenai River. More assists for Kenai River came via Ryan Walker, who had one. Reid Mimmack made 19 saves for Jamestown on 21 shots. The Ironmen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Sean Healy rejected 22 shots on goal for Kenai River. The Brown Bears registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
