The Michigan Warriors allowed the Texas Tornado to net four goals during the second period and fell, 7-1.

Texas' Hunter Leisner was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. Leisner managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.27 prior to the game.

The Tornado were led by CJ Reuschlein, who racked up one goal. Reuschlein scored 19:33 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Texas. Nick Blas assisted on the tally.

Texas put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Michigan to score on any of its five power plays. The defensemen of the Tornado were also effective in the Warriors' zone, and came away with three goals. Texas put 44 shots on net during the contest, more than the 33.3 it averages per game.

Texas additionally got points from Nick Neville, who also had one goal and one assist, Michael Hoy, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Mitchell McPherson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Texas also got a goal from Cameron Brown as well. More assists for Texas came via Jackson Leef, who had three, Justin Greenberg and Leo Lumm, who each chipped in one, and Brandon Hawkins and Anthony Mousseau, who contributed two a piece.

With 27 shots on target during the contest, Michigan exceeded the 20.0 shots it averages per game this year. The Warriors' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Michigan finished with 26 penalty minutes.

The Warriors were led by Sean Reynolds, who scored the team's only goal. Reynolds scored 10:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Michigan. Jon Farkas picked up the assist.

The Tornado incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Trevor Gorsuch took the loss and made 19 saves before being replaced by Michael Pesendorfer who made 18 saves.
