Pierson's goals lift Detroit Falcons 18U to 3-0 victory over Utah Regulators 18U

Jack Pierson was all over the ice for Detroit Falcons 18U, as he tallied two goals in Detroit Falcons 18U's 3-0 win over Utah Regulators 18U.

Pierson scored at 13:29 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Detroit Falcons 18U and again while 15:36 into the second to make the score 2-0 Detroit Falcons 18U.

Detroit Falcons 18U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

Detroit Falcons 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Utah Regulators 18U to score on any of its seven power plays. Utah Regulators 18U was unable to stop Detroit Falcons 18U from sending pucks towards the net, and Detroit Falcons 18U eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Detroit Falcons 18U also got a goal from Cameron Russell as well. More assists for Detroit Falcons 18U came via Stephen Jelsch, Peter Cabala, and Zach Kopinski, who contributed one a piece.

Utah Regulators 18U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.
