Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Indiana Jr. Ice 18U defeated West Michigan Hounds 18U in a shootout 4-3.

The shootout featured nine attempts between both teams. West Michigan Hounds 18U's shootout goal was scored by Christian Howard. Indiana Jr. Ice 18U's other shootout goal was scored by Razmuz Waxin-Engback.

In a losing effort, West Michigan Hounds 18U was led by Collin Finkhouse, who finished with two goals and one assist. Finkhouse scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 4:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 West Michigan Hounds 18U. A roughing penalty on Matt Corbett had put West Michigan Hounds 18U on the power play. Evan Bennett provided the assist.
