Phoenix Firebirds 18U shrugs off penalties, upends Detroit Falcons 18U, 2-1

Detroit Falcons 18U failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Phoenix Firebirds 18U shook off a number of penalties to win, 2-1.

Phoenix Firebirds 18U was paced by Daniel Nachbar, who grabbed one goal. Nachbar scored 10:25 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Phoenix Firebirds 18U. Hector Majul provided the assist.

Phoenix Firebirds 18U stifled Detroit Falcons 18U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Phoenix Firebirds 18U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.
