Pursuit of Excellence 18U vanquishes Utah Regulators 18U in shootout, 5-4

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Pursuit of Excellence 18U defeated Utah Regulators 18U in a shootout 5-4.

The shootout featured 20 attempts between both teams. Utah Regulators 18U got shootout goals from Jordan Townsend and Joel Lehtonen. In addition to the clincher, Pursuit of Excellence 18U got shootout goals from Brandon Duhaime and Chaz Reddekopp.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U came back from a four-goal deficit to capture the victory. Pursuit of Excellence 18U fell behind 4-0 after a power play goal by Utah Regulators 18U's Jared Pike at 14:54 in the first period. Pursuit of Excellence 18U knotted things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Reddekopp at 10:51 in the third period.
