Pursuit of Excellence 16U's comeback falls short, St. Louis Selects 16U wins 3-1

Pursuit of Excellence 16U almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but St. Louis Selects 16U managed to pull out a 3-1 win in the end.

St. Louis Selects 16U led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when St. Louis Selects 16U's Ryan Derousse's scored at 13:00 in the third period to put St. Louis Selects 16U up 4-1.

Derousse had a great game for St. Louis Selects 16U, netting two goals.

St. Louis Selects 16U also got a goal from Tyler Hoffmann as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Louis Selects 16U were Austin Rueschhoff, who had two and Andrew Eichenlaub and Ben Rucker, who contributed one a piece.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Louis Selects 16U to score on any of its four power plays.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U was led by Colin Robin, who scored the team's only goal. Robin scored 11:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pursuit of Excellence 16U. Zachary Zorn assisted on the tally.
