San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U boosted by Blazier's play in net, beats Atlanta Fire 16U 4-1

Jake Blazier stood on his head and made 29 saves to lead San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U to a 4-1 victory over Atlanta Fire 16U.

Atlanta Fire 16U's power play was ineffective against San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U was led by Austin Elchinoff, who tallied one goal and one assist. Elchinoff scored 8:15 into the first period to make the score 2-0 San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U. Carson Kelley provided the assist.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 17 minutes in penalty time. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U surpassed its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game.
