California Titans 16U blows out Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U, 6-1

California Titans 16U had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U.

Jacob Hamacher was all over the ice for California Titans 16U, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Hamacher scored the first of his two goals at 12:33 into the second period to make the score 3-0 California Titans 16U. Tyler Morad provided the assist. Hamacher's next tally made the score 4-0 California Titans 16U with 7:06 left in the second period. Ethan Somoza assisted on the tally.

California Titans 16U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

California Titans 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U to score on any of its seven power plays. California Titans 16U forced Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U goalie Anthony Yamnitsky to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

California Titans 16U also got points from Franklin Newman, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Somoza, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Cody Key also scored for California Titans 16U. In addition, California Titans 16U received assists from Will-Robert Johnson, who had two and Danny ODonnell, Connor Chilton, and Gregory Figg, who each chipped in one.

Patrik Jokela made 24 saves for California Titans 16U on 25 shots. California Titans 16U registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U's Yamnitsky stopped 34 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
