Hamacher leads California Titans 16U over Atlanta Fire 16U, 5-2

Behind a great game by Jacob Hamacher, who had one goal and two assists, California Titans 16U defeated Atlanta Fire 16U, 5-2.

Hamacher scored 3:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Will-Robert Johnson provided the assist. Hamacher dished an assist on Ethan Somoza's goal that made the score 2-2 at 5:46 into the second period. He added another helper on Johnson's goal that made the score 5-2 California Titans 16U at 6:26 into the third period.

California Titans 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Atlanta Fire 16U power plays. Atlanta Fire 16U was unable to stop California Titans 16U from sending pucks towards the net, and California Titans 16U eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

California Titans 16U also got points from Johnson, who also had one goal and one assist, Cody Key, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Somoza, who also registered one goal and one assist. Danny ODonnell also scored for California Titans 16U. In addition, California Titans 16U received assists from Justin Apadoca, who had two and Tanner Dalton and Evan Somoza, who each chipped in one.

Atlanta Fire 16U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Atlanta Fire 16U was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Atlanta Fire 16U was helped by Cole Stewart, who grabbed one goal. Stewart scored 1:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Atlanta Fire 16U. Matt Kobylski assisted on the tally. Atlanta Fire 16U also got a goal from Chase Pearson as well. More assists for Atlanta Fire 16U came via Brent Sweeney, Jared McCracken, and Dillon Steh, who contributed one a piece.

Patrik Jokela rejected 19 shots on goal for California Titans 16U. California Titans 16U incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Robby Korb recorded 27 saves for Atlanta Fire 16U.
