Somoza leads California Titans 16U over Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U, 8-0

Behind a great game by Ethan Somoza, who had four goals and one assist, California Titans 16U defeated Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U, 8-0.

Somoza's first goal came 13:05 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:16 into the second, at 9:10 into the third, and at 15:11 into the third.

California Titans 16U was boosted by Patrik Jokela, who turned in a shutout with 26 saves. The solid play of Jokela will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 0.59.

California Titans 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U to score on any of its three power plays. California Titans 16U kept Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Anthony Yamnitsky made 26 saves on 34 shots.
