Aurora downs Pickering in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Dylan Sikura gave the Aurora Tigers a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Pickering Panthers when he scored 2:03 into the extra period.

In a losing effort, Pickering was paced by Mark Tenuta, who registered two goals. Tenuta scored the first of his two goals at 18:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pickering. Micah Nichols assisted on the tally. Tenuta's next tally made the score 4-3 Pickering with 1:46 left in the third period. Cory Lauer provided the assist.

In a losing effort, the Panthers were led by Tenuta, who had two goals.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 9:18 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Pickering was unable to stop Aurora from sending pucks towards the net, and the Tigers eventually piled up 57 shots on goal.

Aurora also got points from Adam Moody, who also racked up one goal and one assist and John Doyle, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Taylor McCloy also scored for Aurora. In addition, Aurora received assists from Jordan Brown and Kory Kennedy, who contributed one a piece and David Iacono, Blake Forslund, and Robert Angiolella, who each chipped in two.

Pickering additionally got points from Brodie Tutton, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Pickering also got a goal from Sean Levac as well. More assists for Pickering came via Josh Herrington, who had one and Jeff Heard, who had two.

Brett Sinclair recorded 19 saves for Aurora. The Tigers totaled 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. For Aurora, Adam DiBrina was ejected from the game. Conor Barrie made 52 saves for the Panthers on 57 shots. Pickering totaled 43 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. The Panthers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Nichols was ejected from the game.
