Toronto wins tough contest against Milton, 3-2Chesswood Arena Sun, Jan 27, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Toronto Junior Canadiens and the Milton Icehawks were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Toronto made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. The Junior Canadiens gained the winning advantage on a goal by Jordan Carvalho 14:05 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Toronto was led by Carvalho, who grabbed one goal. The Junior Canadiens' offense rang up 34 shots on Milton's net. Toronto also got a goal from Gregory Di Tomaso as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto were Robert Cammalleri, who had two and Connor Prudames, Aaron Spivak, and Anthony Repaci, who each chipped in one. Toronto was unable to stop the Icehawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Milton eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The Icehawks were helped by Michael Capicotto, who racked up one goal. Capicotto scored 19:53 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Kane Elliot picked up the assist. Jonathon Buttitta also scored for Milton. More assists for Milton came via Brad Kobryn, Shane Bennett, and Daniel Holt, who contributed one a piece. Nathan Colitto made 30 saves for the Junior Canadiens on 32 shots. Toronto incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Milton's Benjamin Blacker(APMM) stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Icehawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
