The Toronto Junior Canadiens had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-1 win over the Orangeville Flyers. Toronto's penalty kill excelled, as the Junior Canadiens gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. Toronto was paced by Anthony Repaci, who registered one goal. Repaci scored 6:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto. Joshua Decosta assisted on the tally. The Junior Canadiens stifled Orangeville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Flyers were unable to stop Toronto from sending pucks towards the net, and the Junior Canadiens eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Toronto's goal total was higher than its season average. The Junior Canadiens have scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of Toronto were also effective in Orangeville's zone, and came away with two goals. The Junior Canadiens could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Toronto also got points from Daniel Lombardi, who also had one goal and one assist, Derek Perl, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Decosta, who also registered one goal and one assist. Danny Liscio also scored for Toronto. More assists for Toronto came via Adam Logozzo, who had three and Mark Spadafora, Connor Prudames, Robert Cammalleri, Travis Hill, and Joseph Santino, who contributed one a piece. The Flyers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Orangeville's offense operated below it season average. The Flyers average 3.2 goals per game. Toronto's starting goalie, Denny Dubblestyne, made 20 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Mike AP Bullion, who stopped zero shots. Bo Bessette rejected 34 shots on goal for Orangeville. The Flyers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Orangeville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Angelpooulos Peter was ejected from the game.
