Georgetown's Hart deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Burlington

Drake Hart was all over the ice for the Georgetown Raiders, as he tallied two goals in Georgetown's 5-2 win over the Burlington Cougars.

Hart scored at 2:05 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Georgetown and again while on the power play 17:42 into the second to make the score 4-2 Georgetown.

Burlington was unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Georgetown eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Georgetown also got points from Tyler McCarthy, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Nick Perruccio, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Georgetown also got a goal from David Miller as well. More assists for Georgetown came via Alex Botten, who had two and Tyler MacPherson, Steve Hladin, Brendan Woods, Knick Dawe, and Robbie Murden, who contributed one a piece.

The Cougars were helped by Shane Conacher, who racked up one goal. Conacher scored on the power play 5:29 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Georgetown. Burlington had gained a power play chance when Scott Emerson was whistled for head contact. Luke Sinclair assisted on the tally. Cooper Richards also scored for Burlington. In addition, Burlington received assists from Steven Mueller, Tyler Mayea, and Tyler VanKleef, who each chipped in one.

Knick Dawe made 22 saves for the Raiders on 24 shots. Georgetown incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Alex Murray recorded 35 saves for the Cougars. Burlington incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
