DiBrina's goals lift Aurora to 5-1 victory over Trenton

The Aurora Tigers relied on the scoring touch of Adam DiBrina, who netted two goals, to beat the Trenton Golden Hawks, 5-1.

DiBrina found the back of the net on the power play 7:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Aurora and again while on the power play 7:41 into the second to make the score 3-1 Aurora.

Aurora's Brett Sinclair was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 37 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Sinclair will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.82.

The Tigers forced Golden Hawks' netminders to work between the pipes, racking up 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Victor Adamo made 22 stops and Andrew Winsor made seven.

Aurora also got points from Kory Kennedy, who also registered one goal and one assist. Aurora also got a goal from Daniel Lisi as well. In addition, Aurora received assists from Robert Angiolella, who had two and Tyler Shaw, Taylor McCloy, Zack MacArthur, Dylan Sikura, Justin Nice, Adam Moody, and Daniel Clairmont, who each chipped in one.

Trenton was held below its usual level of production. The Golden Hawks average 3.7 goals per game. Trenton's offense rang up 38 shots on Aurora's net. The Golden Hawks' normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. Trenton gives up 2.4 goals per game.

The Golden Hawks were led by Jordan Minello, who scored the team's only goal. Minello scored on the power play 15:53 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Aurora. Trenton had taken the advantage when the Tigers' McCloy got sent off for tripping. Nick Marinac picked up the assist.

Aurora totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 3-for-7 on the power play. The Tigers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jordan Brown was ejected from the game. The Golden Hawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
