The Oakville Blades tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Toronto Junior Canadiens held on for a 3-2 victory. A goal by Jimin Kim put Toronto up 3-0 in the third period, but Oakville pulled to within one on Jonah Renouf's tally 15:57 into the third period. The Junior Canadiens were paced by Nicholas Jarzabek, who racked up one goal. Jarzabek scored 17:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto. Kim provided the assist. Toronto's offense rang up 31 shots on the Blades' net. Toronto additionally got points from Kim, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Derek Perl also scored for Toronto. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto were Connor Prudames, who had two and Daniel Lombardi, Mark Spadafora, and Adam Logozzo, who contributed one a piece. Oakville stifled the Junior Canadiens' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Blades kept Toronto's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Colitto made 29 saves on 31 shots. More assists for Oakville came via Nathan Renouf, Patrick Chore, Stefan Leblanc, and Kyle Jenkins, who each chipped in one. The Junior Canadiens incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Oakville's Evan Buitenhuis stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Blades incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
