Toronto Lakeshore beats Hamilton 9-5 as Seligman gets hat trick

William Seligman lifted the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots to a 9-5 victory with a hat trick against the Hamilton Red Wings.

Seligman's first goal came 14:24 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:29 into the second and at 6:10 into the third.

Toronto Lakeshore pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 17 penalty minutes.

The Patriots' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Hamilton power plays. Toronto Lakeshore's offense rang up 52 shots on Hamilton's net. The Patriots bested their season scoring average. Toronto Lakeshore has scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Toronto Lakeshore also got points from Tyler Currie, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Daniel Tedesco, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Luke Carter, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Doug Bonar, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Alex D Oliveira, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Angelpooulos Peter also scored for Toronto Lakeshore. In addition, Toronto Lakeshore received assists from Niko Kovachis, who had two, Michael Apreda, who had three, and Alex Mills, Dylan Carter, Marcus Rose, Nathan Feric, Brody Heleno, Mike Vallescuro, and Kevin Pietrobon, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots' starting goalie, eric angeli, made 21 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Stormer Santana, who stopped four shots. Toronto Lakeshore registered one goal on 10 power play opportunities. The Patriots ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Vallescuro was ejected from the game. Jake Rennie made 43 saves for the Red Wings on 52 shots. Hamilton incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
