Buffalo rips Mississauga, 6-0

The Mississauga Chargers had trouble finding ways to stop the Buffalo Jr. Sabres, which beat Chargers, 6-0.

Buffalo was sparked by Tim Kielich, who had one goal and one assist. Kielich scored 18:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Buffalo. Brian Ruff provided the assist.

The Jr. Sabres' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Mississauga power plays. Buffalo kept Mississauga's goalie busy throughout the game, and Austin Washkurak made 35 saves on 41 shots. The Jr. Sabres outdid their season average for goals scored. Buffalo averages 3.8 goals per game.

Buffalo also got points from Ruff, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Nolan Sheeran, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Buffalo included David Seward, who had one and Pat Egan, who had two. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Ben Casale, Tony DeVito, Tyler Gjurich, Ryan Schmelzer, Derek Patterson, Dylan Howatt, Sean Federow, and Nick Gullo, who each chipped in one.

The Chargers' offense operated below they season average. Mississauga averages 3.1 goals per game.

The Jr. Sabres' Parker Gahagen stopped 24 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Buffalo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Chargers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
