Toronto downs Mississauga in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Toronto Junior Canadiens' Danny Liscio scored 3:33 into overtime to beat the Mississauga Chargers, 4-3 (OT).

Toronto was led by Liscio, who racked up one goal and one assist.

Mississauga was unable to stop the Junior Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Penalties took their toll on the Junior Canadiens, as their penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

Toronto also got points from Anthony Repaci, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Toronto also got a goal from Nicholas Jarzabek as well. More assists for Toronto came via Jimin Kim, who had two and Daniel Lombardi, Andrew Mullen, and Dalton APM Hnatko, who each chipped in one.

The Chargers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Toronto to score on any of its six power plays. Mississauga's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Chargers finished with 26 penalty minutes.

Mississauga was helped by Ross Sloan, who registered one goal. Sloan scored short handed 6:57 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Chargers played down a man on A Latina's tripping. B Beasley assisted on the tally. Nicholas Palumbo also scored for Mississauga. Other players who recorded assists for Mississauga were Stefano Alonzi, Patrick Mooney, and Vince Figliomeni, who contributed one a piece.

Nathan Colitto made 25 saves for the Junior Canadiens on 28 shots. Toronto incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Austin Washkurak recorded 33 saves for Mississauga.
