St. Michaels holds on for 4-2 win against Toronto

The Toronto Junior Canadiens tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the St. Michaels Buzzers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

St. Michaels took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have Toronto storm back on a Anthony Repaci goal 8:43 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

The Buzzers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

St. Michaels was led by Patrick McCarron, who finished with one goal and one assist. McCarron scored 2:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels. Nicholas Lepone provided the assist. David Italiano also scored for St. Michaels. More assists for St. Michaels came via Stephen Pietrobon, Michael Neville, Jake Evans, Joseph Berton, Matt Buckles, and Tom Haley, who contributed one a piece.

Toronto also got points from Mark Spadafora, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto were Derek Perl and Gregory Di Tomaso, who each chipped in one.

Adrian Ignagni recorded 25 saves for the Buzzers. St. Michaels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Junior Canadiens' Denny Dubblestyne stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Toronto incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
