Jersey Wildcats holds on for 4-3 win against New York Apple Core

New York Apple Core tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Jersey Wildcats would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Tommy Savino put Jersey Wildcats up 4-2 in the third period, but New York Apple Core pulled to within one on Brian OSullivan's tally 18:14 into the third period.

Jersey Wildcats was paced by Savino, who registered one goal. Savino scored 5:32 into the third period to make the score Jersey Wildcats. Ryan Demgard assisted on the tally.

Jersey Wildcats also got points from Demgard, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Austin Gordon, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Tommy Kemly also scored for Jersey Wildcats. In addition, Jersey Wildcats received assists from Carmine Taffo, who had two and Charles Woolmuth and Kyle Davey, who each chipped in one.

New York Apple Core put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Jersey Wildcats to score on any of its five power plays.

New York Apple Core also got a goal from Travis Quigley as well. More assists for New York Apple Core came via Colton Schnall, Vladimir Korotin, and Joe Finneran, who contributed one a piece.

Nathan Leo rejected 17 shots on goal for Jersey Wildcats. Jersey Wildcats incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Luke Cohen made 15 saves before being replaced by Dominic Lamanno, who took the loss and made four saves. New York Apple Core incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
