Bay State Breakers outlasts Boch Blazers, 4-2

The game between Bay State Breakers and Boch Blazers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Bay State Breakers emerged with a 4-2 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Cameron Miglietta secured the win for Bay State Breakers with a goal in the third period.

Miglietta had a great game for Bay State Breakers, netting two goals.

Boch Blazers' power play was ineffective against Bay State Breakers' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Bay State Breakers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Bay State Breakers kept Boch Blazers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Lucas Paulson made 27 saves on 31 shots. Bay State Breakers was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 30 penalty minutes.

Thomas Cahill also scored for Bay State Breakers. More assists for Bay State Breakers came via Tyler Becker and Mason Sloan, who contributed one a piece.

Boch Blazers forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Boch Blazers had been averaging 24.0 minutes in penalties per game. Boch Blazers was held below its usual level of production. Boch Blazers averages 6.2 goals per game. Boch Blazers' offense rang up 43 shots on Bay State Breakers' net.

Boch Blazers was helped by Patrick Hayes, who racked up one goal. Hayes scored 6:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Boch Blazers. Joseph Fernandes picked up the assist. Boch Blazers also got a goal from Kurtis Garcia as well. In addition, Boch Blazers received assists from Colin Cordeiro, who had one.

Kirby Saari recorded 41 saves for Bay State Breakers. Bay State Breakers registered one goal on three power play opportunities. For Bay State Breakers, Bryan Bachelder was ejected from the game. Boch Blazers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Garcia was ejected from the game.
