Islanders Hockey Club tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but New Hampshire Jr Monarchs would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 8-6.

A goal by Eric Rackett put New Hampshire Jr Monarchs up 8-4 in the second period, but Islanders Hockey Club pulled to within two on Jeff Scimone's tally 17:38 into the third period.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs got the win with help from a great game by Rackett, who had four goals and three assists. Rackett notched his first tally 4:41 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:03 into the first and at 9:26 into the second.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' offense rang up 41 shots on Islanders Hockey Club's net. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs surpassed its usual scoring output this season.
