Legere's big game bests Philadelphia Revolution in 3-1 Islanders Hockey Club win

Islanders Hockey Club's Eric Legere had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 3-1 win over Philadelphia Revolution.

Legere's tallies came at 3:44 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and 14:27 into the second to make the score 2-1 Islanders Hockey Club.

Islanders Hockey Club managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Islanders Hockey Club wound up below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. Islanders Hockey Club kept Philadelphia Revolution's goalie busy throughout the game, and Troy Klahre made 58 saves on 61 shots.

Islanders Hockey Club also got a goal from Nikita Polishchuk as well. More assists for Islanders Hockey Club came via Shannon Thomas, who had one and Justtin Fisher, who had two.

Philadelphia Revolution put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Islanders Hockey Club to score on any of its four power plays.

Philadelphia Revolution was led by Ian Turner, who scored the team's only goal. Turner scored 12:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Philadelphia Revolution. Nolan Iorio provided the assist.

Brendan Rhoads made 19 saves for Islanders Hockey Club on 20 shots. Philadelphia Revolution incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
