Philadelphia Revolution vanquishes Jersey Wildcats in shootout, 4-3 (3-2 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Philadelphia Revolution defeated Jersey Wildcats in a shootout 4-3 (3-2 SO).

The shootout featured 10 attempts between both teams. Jersey Wildcats got shootout goals from Ryan Demgard and Cody Signorelli. In addition to the clincher, Philadelphia Revolution got shootout goals from Corey Lasko and Kevin Stickle.

Philadelphia Revolution overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Philadelphia Revolution was down 3-2 after a goal by Jersey Wildcats' Christopher Butryn at 16:10 in the first period. Philadelphia Revolution tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Ryan Zujkowski at 4:45 in the third period.

Philadelphia Revolution's penalty kill excelled, as Philadelphia Revolution gave up zero goals despite allowing 10 power plays.

Philadelphia Revolution stifled Jersey Wildcats' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Philadelphia Revolution kept Jersey Wildcats' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Leo made 31 saves on 35 shots. Philadelphia Revolution's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Philadelphia Revolution finished with 24 penalty minutes.

Philadelphia Revolution was helped by Cal Blockinger, who finished with one goal. Blockinger scored 8:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Lasko picked up the assist. Andre Viens also scored for Philadelphia Revolution. More assists for Philadelphia Revolution came via Scott Parker, William Marion, and Ian Turner, who contributed one a piece.

Jersey Wildcats' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Philadelphia Revolution power plays. Philadelphia Revolution was unable to stop Jersey Wildcats from sending pucks towards the net, and Jersey Wildcats eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Jersey Wildcats was helped by Matthew Sangalli, who tallied one goal. Sangalli scored 2:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Jersey Wildcats. Demgard provided the assist. Jersey Wildcats also got points from Butryn, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jersey Wildcats also got a goal from Nicholas Hall as well. In addition, Jersey Wildcats received assists from Charles Woolmuth, Corey Carnahan, and Austin Gordon, who each chipped in one.

Zachery Skop recorded 33 saves for Philadelphia Revolution. Jersey Wildcats incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors.
