Bay State Breakers squeaks by New Hampshire Jr Monarchs, 3-2

Bay State Breakers and New Hampshire Jr Monarchs were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Bay State Breakers made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Bay State Breakers gained the winning advantage on a goal by David Hasenfuss 17:39 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

In the losing effort, New Hampshire Jr Monarchs was paced by Casey Marfongelli, who finished with two goals. Marfongelli scored the first of his two goals at 3:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New Hampshire Jr Monarchs. Dylan Martini provided the assist. Marfongelli's next tally made the score 2-2 with 14:47 left in the third period. Matthew Robson assisted on the tally.

In a losing effort, New Hampshire Jr Monarchs was led by Marfongelli, who registered two goals.

Bay State Breakers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four New Hampshire Jr Monarchs power plays. Bay State Breakers kept New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matthew Evans made 40 saves on 43 shots.

Bay State Breakers also got points from Thomas Cahill, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cameron Miglietta also scored for Bay State Breakers. In addition, Bay State Breakers received assists from Michael Williams and Eric Covell, who each chipped in one.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

More assists for New Hampshire Jr Monarchs came via Harry ODonoghue, who had one.
