Junior Bruins shrugs off penalties, upends Bay State Breakers, 8-3NESC Rink 1 Wed, Dec 12, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Bay State Breakers failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Junior Bruins shook off a number of penalties to win, 8-3. Junior Bruins was paced by Jordan Hanahan, who racked up one goal. Hanahan scored on the power play 4:12 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Junior Bruins. Junior Bruins earned a power play opportunity when Cameron Miglietta was put in the box for tripping. Nicholas Miller picked up the assist. Junior Bruins excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Junior Bruins' offense rang up 43 shots on Bay State Breakers' net. Junior Bruins' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.
