New York Apple Core stifles Philadelphia Revolution's comeback, gains 3-2 victory

New York Apple Core, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by New York Apple Core and clinched a 3-2 victory.

New York Apple Core led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when New York Apple Core's Dillon Radin's scored at 5:44 in the second period to put New York Apple Core up 3-0.

New York Apple Core was helped by Kieran Hurley, who registered one goal. Hurley scored 13:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New York Apple Core. New York Apple Core also got a goal from Thomas McGovern as well. In addition, New York Apple Core received assists from Shane Higgins and Daniel Diner, who contributed one a piece.

Philadelphia Revolution's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five New York Apple Core power plays. Philadelphia Revolution was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 36 penalty minutes.

Philadelphia Revolution was helped by Corey Lasko, who tallied one goal. Lasko scored on the power play 12:38 into the second period to make the score 3-2 New York Apple Core. A roughing penalty on James Loglisci had put Philadelphia Revolution on the power play. Ryan Zujkowski provided the assist. Scott Parker also scored for Philadelphia Revolution.

Dominic Lamanno made 20 saves for New York Apple Core on 22 shots. New York Apple Core incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For New York Apple Core, Michael Buffoleno was ejected from the game. Zachery Skop recorded 24 saves for Philadelphia Revolution. Philadelphia Revolution registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Philadelphia Revolution ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and John Regan was ejected from the game.
