Boch Blazers outlasts New Hampshire Jr Monarchs, 5-3

The game between Boch Blazers and New Hampshire Jr Monarchs was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Boch Blazers emerged with a 5-3 win.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Ryan McCarthy's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Boch Blazers was led by McCarthy, who finished with one goal. McCarthy scored 2:42 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Boch Blazers.

In a losing effort, New Hampshire Jr Monarchs was led by Eric Rackett, who grabbed two goals. Rackett scored the first of his two goals at 1:29 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Storoniak William picked up the assist. Rackett's next tally made the score 3-3 with 1:36 left in the second period.

Boch Blazers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Boch Blazers kept New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matthew Evans made 26 saves on 31 shots.

Boch Blazers additionally got points from Colin Cordeiro, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Boch Blazers also got a goal from Kurtis Garcia as well. Other players who recorded assists for Boch Blazers were Patrick Hayes and Jacob Dyl, who contributed one a piece.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Boch Blazers to score on any of its three power plays. The defensemen of New Hampshire Jr Monarchs were also effective in Boch Blazers' zone, and came away with two goals.

Patrick Kennedy also scored for New Hampshire Jr Monarchs. In addition, New Hampshire Jr Monarchs received assists from Connor Stevens and Nicholas Deveau, who each chipped in one.

Cody Stocker made 16 saves for Boch Blazers on 19 shots. Boch Blazers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dylan Martini was ejected from the game.
