Quigley leads New York Apple Core over Brewster Bulldogs, 6-2

New York Apple Core's Travis Quigley had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-2 win over Brewster Bulldogs.

Quigley found the back of the net on the power play 8:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New York Apple Core and again while 17:09 into the first to make the score 3-0 New York Apple Core.

New York Apple Core's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Brewster Bulldogs power plays. New York Apple Core forced Brewster Bulldogs goalie Zachary Shapiro to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. The defensemen of New York Apple Core were also effective in Brewster Bulldogs' zone, and came away with three goals.

New York Apple Core also had goals scored by Colton Schnall, who had one and James Loglisci, who had three. In addition, New York Apple Core received assists from Phil Laurelli, Brian OSullivan, and Joe Finneran, who each chipped in one.

Brewster Bulldogs struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays.

Dominic Lamanno made 23 saves for New York Apple Core on 25 shots. New York Apple Core incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Shapiro recorded 29 saves for Brewster Bulldogs.
