Brewster Bulldogs beats Frederick Freeze 7-1 as Folchetti gets hat trick

Frederick Freeze could not stop Brewster Bulldogs' Taylor Folchetti, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-1 win.

Folchetti's first goal came 12:49 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:28 into the third and at 17:29 into the third.

Frederick Freeze's eight penalties came back to haunt it, as Frederick Freeze let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

Brewster Bulldogs kept Frederick Freeze's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniyal Hannan made 42 saves on 49 shots. Brewster Bulldogs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Brewster Bulldogs averages 2.7 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Brewster Bulldogs also got points from Richard Folchetti, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Connor Bubolo also scored for Brewster Bulldogs. Other players who recorded assists for Brewster Bulldogs were Christopher Hagen, who had three, James Maxson and David Morgan, who contributed one a piece, and D Rubenstein and Gregory Hennings, who each chipped in two.

Frederick Freeze was led by Matthew Paris, who scored the team's only goal. Paris scored 4:11 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brewster Bulldogs. Nathan Miller provided the assist.

Brewster Bulldogs' Matthew Rubenstein stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Brewster Bulldogs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Frederick Freeze incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
