Boeschl nets hat trick, leads Brewster Bulldogs to 7-4 win over Springfield Jr Pics

Springfield Jr Pics could not stop Brewster Bulldogs' Gunnar Boeschl, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win.

Boeschl notched his first tally 16:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:31 into the third and at 9:49 into the third.

Brewster Bulldogs' penalty kill excelled, as Brewster Bulldogs gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

Brewster Bulldogs' offense rang up 35 shots on Springfield Jr Pics' net. Brewster Bulldogs' goal total was higher than its season average. Brewster Bulldogs averages 2.4 goals per game.

Brewster Bulldogs also had goals scored by David Morgan, who had one and Taylor Folchetti, who had three. More assists for Brewster Bulldogs came via Connor Bubolo, who had two and Kevin Kennedy, Richard Folchetti, Christopher Hagen, and Gregory Hennings, who contributed one a piece.

In addition, Springfield Jr Pics received assists from Timothy Gray, Mike Esposito, and Zack Huggins, who each chipped in one.

Zachary Shapiro made 18 saves for Brewster Bulldogs on 22 shots. Brewster Bulldogs incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Jacob Smith rejected 28 shots on goal for Springfield Jr Pics. Springfield Jr Pics incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
