Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Suffolk Juniors defeated Frederick Freeze in a shootout 3-2. The two teams needed four turns to complete the shootout. Suffolk Juniors fell behind 2-1 after a goal by Frederick Freeze's Ryley Harper at 10 seconds in the second period. Suffolk Juniors tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Joseph Bizzaro at 54 seconds in the second period. Suffolk Juniors' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Frederick Freeze power plays. Suffolk Juniors' offense rang up 38 shots on Frederick Freeze's net. Michael Guidi also scored for Suffolk Juniors. Other players who recorded assists for Suffolk Juniors were Axl Frisina, who had one and Keith Jordan, who had two. Frederick Freeze excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.
