The game between New York Apple Core and Frederick Freeze was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end New York Apple Core emerged with a 3-2 win. Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Andrew Cunningham's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. New York Apple Core was paced on offense by Colton Schnall and Cunningham, who combined for five points. Schnall tallied two goals and one assist and Cunningham also notched one goal and one assist. New York Apple Core's offense rang up 33 shots on Frederick Freeze's net. New York Apple Core struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Frederick Freeze to score two power play goals on three chances. New York Apple Core also got points from Cunningham, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for New York Apple Core were Travis Quigley, Michael Buffoleno, and Sam Soifer, who each chipped in one. Frederick Freeze was helped by Matthew Paris, who grabbed two goals. Paris scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 21:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Frederick Freeze.
