Junior Bruins survives penalties, beats New Hampshire Jr Monarchs, 7-3

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Junior Bruins shook off a number of penalties to win, 7-3.

Junior Bruins was sparked by Kyle Chumsae, who tallied one goal and one assist. Chumsae scored 5:41 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Junior Bruins. Corey Deres provided the assist.

In a losing effort, New Hampshire Jr Monarchs was paced by Eric Rackett, who registered one goal and two assists. Rackett scored 13 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 New Hampshire Jr Monarchs. Storoniak William assisted on the tally.

Junior Bruins' offense rang up 41 shots on New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' net.

Junior Bruins also got points from Deres, who also had one goal and one assist. Junior Bruins also got a goal from John Buchanan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Junior Bruins were Nicolas Ferretti, Ryan Porter, Tyler Kirby, and Dommichael Piccini, who contributed one a piece and Jordan Hanahan and Michael Centerbar, who each chipped in two.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs additionally got points from William, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Patrick Kennedy also scored for New Hampshire Jr Monarchs. More assists for New Hampshire Jr Monarchs came via Nicholas Deveau, who had one.

Porter recorded 19 saves for Junior Bruins. Junior Bruins incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. James McCoy made 34 saves for New Hampshire Jr Monarchs on 41 shots. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
