Huge game by Carnahan boosts Jersey Wildcats over Brewster Bulldogs, 7-4

Jersey Wildcats' Corey Carnahan had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 7-4 win over Brewster Bulldogs.

Carnahan's tallies came at 18:55 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Jersey Wildcats and 11:30 into the third to make the score 6-4 Jersey Wildcats.

Jersey Wildcats pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

Jersey Wildcats forced Brewster Bulldogs goalie Matthew Rubenstein to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Jersey Wildcats found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Jersey Wildcats averages 3.3 goals per contest.

Jersey Wildcats also got points from Ryan Demgard, who also tallied two goals and one assist and Tommy Kemly, who also had two goals and two assists. Jersey Wildcats also got a goal from Austin Gordon as well. Other players who recorded assists for Jersey Wildcats were Thomas Brennan, Kyle Davey, Carmine Taffo, and Matthew Sangalli, who contributed one a piece.

Brewster Bulldogs stifled Jersey Wildcats' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Brewster Bulldogs kept Jersey Wildcats' goalie busy throughout the game, and Peter Andersson made 46 saves on 50 shots. Brewster Bulldogs got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Brewster Bulldogs was led by Patrick McKiernan, who racked up one goal and two assists. McKiernan scored 17:05 into the second period to make the score 4-4. Brewster Bulldogs additionally got points from Austin King, who also finished with one goal and one assist and David Morgan, who also registered one goal and one assist. Gregory Hennings also scored for Brewster Bulldogs.

Jersey Wildcats registered zero goals on six power play opportunities. Rubenstein rejected 33 shots on goal for Brewster Bulldogs. Brewster Bulldogs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
