Brewster Bulldogs holds on for 3-1 win against New York Apple Core

Brewster Bulldogs survived a determined comeback attempt by New York Apple Core on the way to a 3-1 win.

Brewster Bulldogs made the score 3-0 on a goal by James Maxson at 12:57 in the third period, and New York Apple Core got as close as 3-1 when Travis Quigley scored 15:39 into the third period.

New York Apple Core was stymied by Brewster Bulldogs netminder Zachary Shapiro, who stopped 31 shots during the victory. The solid play of Shapiro will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 4.04.

Brewster Bulldogs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time.
