Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Islanders Hockey Club defeated Bay State Breakers in a shootout 3-2 (3-2 SO). The shootout featured six attempts between both teams. Bay State Breakers got shootout goals from Thomas Cahill and Kevin Sheehan. In addition to the clincher, Islanders Hockey Club got shootout goals from Christopher Price and Thomas Bishop.Islanders Hockey Club came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Islanders Hockey Club fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Bay State Breakers' Cameron Miglietta at 16:55 in the first period. Islanders Hockey Club knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Jeff Scimone at 6:27 in the second period. Bishop also scored for Islanders Hockey Club. Other players who recorded assists for Islanders Hockey Club were Derek Butler and Brandon Hagy, who each chipped in one. Bay State Breakers additionally got points from Francis OBrien, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Bay State Breakers came via Cameron MacDonald, who had one and Cahill, who had two. Evan King rejected 27 shots on goal for Islanders Hockey Club. Islanders Hockey Club incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Kirby Saari recorded 20 saves for Bay State Breakers.
