Deres, Bengtson dominate New Hampshire Jr Monarchs, lead Junior Bruins to 6-3 win

Behind two goals from Corey Deres and two goals Cayden Bengtson, Junior Bruins downed New Hampshire Jr Monarchs 6-3.

Deres scored the first of his two goals at 16:21 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Junior Bruins. Tyler Kirby assisted on the tally. Deres' next tally made the score 3-1 Junior Bruins with 18:49 left in the second period. Bengtson scored the first of his two goals at 15:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Junior Bruins. Bengtson's next tally made the score 4-1 Junior Bruins with 16:10 left in the second period.

Junior Bruins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three New Hampshire Jr Monarchs power plays.

Luke Harer also scored for Junior Bruins. In addition, Junior Bruins received assists from Ryan Azar, who had one.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs was led by Eric Rackett, who finished with two goals. Rackett scored the first of his two goals at 4:18 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Junior Bruins. Matthew Robson picked up the assist. Rackett's next tally made the score 5-3 Junior Bruins with 7:15 left in the second period. Harry ODonoghue provided the assist. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs also got a goal from Kyle Brindamour as well.

Junior Bruins incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
