Huge game by Rackett boosts New Hampshire Jr Monarchs over Frederick Freeze, 8-3

Eric Rackett had five goals and one assist to lead New Hampshire Jr Monarchs to an 8-3 victory over Frederick Freeze.

Rackett got on the scoresheet 5:45 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:44 into the second, at 12:21 into the second, at 14:59 into the second, and at 18:32 into the second.

Frederick Freeze was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as New Hampshire Jr Monarchs was able to score four times while on the power play.

Frederick Freeze was unable to stop New Hampshire Jr Monarchs from sending pucks towards the net, and New Hampshire Jr Monarchs eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs outdid its season average for goals scored. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs averages 3.4 goals per game. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed eight goals during the game. New Hampshire Jr Monarchs found itself short handed often, totaling 22 penalty minutes and allowing nine power plays.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs also had goals scored by Robert Savini, who had one and Nicholas Deveau, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for New Hampshire Jr Monarchs were Patrick Stewart, who had one and Storoniak William and Kyle Brindamour, who contributed three a piece.

Frederick Freeze's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Frederick Freeze finished with 22 penalty minutes.

Frederick Freeze was helped by Nathan Miller, who finished with one goal. Miller scored 23 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Frederick Freeze. Michael Adams picked up the assist. Frederick Freeze also got a goal from Evan Klein as well. More assists for Frederick Freeze came via Matthew Paris and Bradley Howington, who each chipped in one.

New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' Connor Marfongelli stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. John Ketzenberger rejected 32 shots on goal for Frederick Freeze.
