Huge game by Hurley boosts New York Apple Core over Frederick Freeze, 6-1

New York Apple Core's Kieran Hurley had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-1 win over Frederick Freeze.

Hurley scored short handed at 5:59 into the second period to make the score 2-0 New York Apple Core and again while on the power play 1:51 into the third to make the score 3-1 New York Apple Core.

New York Apple Core's penalty kill excelled, as New York Apple Core gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

New York Apple Core stifled Frederick Freeze's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. New York Apple Core's offense rang up 58 shots on Frederick Freeze's net.

New York Apple Core additionally got points from Dillon Radin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for New York Apple Core included Phil Laurelli, who had one and Shane Higgins, who had two. More assists for New York Apple Core came via Will Guido, Andrew Cunningham, Vladimir Korotin, and Michael Buffoleno, who each chipped in one.

Frederick Freeze did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 10 shots on net to force nine saves.

Frederick Freeze was led by Nathan Hefner, who scored the team's only goal. Hefner scored 10:36 into the second period to make the score 2-1 New York Apple Core. Anthony Palermino provided the assist.

Madison Martin made nine saves for New York Apple Core on 10 shots. New York Apple Core incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Frederick Freeze's Daniyal Hannan stopped 52 shots out of the 58 that he faced. Frederick Freeze incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
