Suffolk Juniors beats New York Apple Core 4-3 as Modica gets hat trick

Anthony Modica netted a hat trick to lead Suffolk Juniors over New York Apple Core, 4-3.

Modica's first goal came 6:08 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:50 into the first and at 7:46 into the third.

New York Apple Core's power play was ineffective against Suffolk Juniors' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Suffolk Juniors' offense operated below it season average. Suffolk Juniors averages 6.5 goals per game. Suffolk Juniors' offense rang up 35 shots on New York Apple Core's net. Suffolk Juniors' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Suffolk Juniors finished with 26 penalty minutes.
