East Coast rolls over Potomac, 7-2Polar Ice House Sat, Mar 02, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The East Coast Eagles were firing on all cylinders against the Potomac Patriots, and when the final buzzer sounded Eagles emerged with a 7-2 win. Graff Richards was all over the ice for East Coast, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Richards scored 17:39 into the first period to make the score 2-0 East Coast. Jacob Weldon provided the assist. The Eagles stifled Potomac's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Patriots were unable to stop East Coast from sending pucks towards the net, and the Eagles eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. East Coast surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Eagles average 3.6 goals per game. East Coast could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. East Coast also got points from Matthew Burleson, who also had one goal and one assist, Shane Selan, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Weldon, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Christopher Adamson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. East Coast also got a goal from Collin Duffy as well. More assists for East Coast came via Todd Jackson and Christopher Grosvenor, who contributed two a piece. Potomac forced the Eagles goalie Roman Riselvato to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Riselvato rejected 38 shots on goal for East Coast. The Eagles registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Derek Guzik recorded 43 saves for the Patriots. Potomac incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
