Florida Eels downs Tampa Bay in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Florida Eels pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Juniors on a clutch goal by Keanu Gallegos.

Florida Eels got the win behind a great game by Brian Dennerlein, who had two goals and one assist. Dennerlein scored the first of his two goals short handed at 13:17 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Florida Eels played down a man on Matthew Kiesel's elbowing. Joshua DeLezenne picked up the assist. Dennerlein's next tally short handed made the score 3-3 with 11 seconds left in the second period. DeLezenne assisted on the tally.

Florida Eels' penalty kill excelled, as Florida Eels gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

Tampa Bay was unable to stop Florida Eels from sending pucks towards the net, and Florida Eels eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

Florida Eels additionally got points from DeLezenne, who also had one goal and two assists. In addition, Florida Eels received assists from Patrick Daniels, who had one.

The Juniors stifled Florida Eels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Tampa Bay kept Florida Eels' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryley Hynes made 47 saves on 50 shots.

The Juniors were helped by Austin Teall, who registered one goal. Teall scored on the power play 4:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay had gotten the advantage when Florida Eels' Max Mazzullo was sent off for holding. Christian Aunspaugh picked up the assist. Tampa Bay also got points from Zachary Capco, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Dylan Longo also scored for Tampa Bay. More assists for Tampa Bay came via Tucker Barone, who had two.

Florida Eels incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Kyle Gertz rejected 44 shots on goal for the Juniors. Tampa Bay incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
