Philadelphia rolls over Frederick, 8-3

The Frederick Freeze had trouble finding ways to stop the Philadelphia Revolution, which beat Freeze, 8-3.

Philadelphia got the win on the strength of a great game by Alex Dyer, who had two goals and one assist. Dyer scored the first of his two goals at 2:28 into the second period to make the score 6-1 Philadelphia. Travis Kauffman provided the assist. Dyer's next tally made the score 8-2 Philadelphia with 13:29 left in the third period. Kauffman assisted on the tally.

The Revolution forced Frederick goalie Daniel Dolliver to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Philadelphia surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Revolution average 4.9 goals per contest. Philadelphia was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 18 penalty minutes.

Philadelphia additionally got points from Zachary England, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Philadelphia also had goals scored by Clint Aussprung, who had two and Dylan Pearl, Jeffery Mitchell, and William Hayden, who each put in one. In addition, Philadelphia received assists from Connor Bechtel, who had two and Ross Asroff, Donald Willier, Ethan Weiss, Justin Goldstein, Nicholas Minerva, and Chris Connor, who each chipped in one.

The Freeze were helped by Logan Coomes, who registered one goal and one assist. Coomes scored on the power play 3:32 into the second period to make the score 6-2 Philadelphia. Frederick had taken the advantage when the Revolution's Mitchell got sent off for high sticking. Nicholas Price provided the assist. Frederick also got points from Reid Bibb, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Frederick also got a goal from Zachary Pard as well.

Jared Burch rejected 24 shots on goal for Philadelphia. The Revolution registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Freeze's Dolliver stopped 27 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Frederick incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
